Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University formerly Dev Bhoomi Institute of Technology was established in 2005. The college is a non-profit, self-governed organisation. The founder of DBIT is Mr. Sanjay Bansal. The university has started the scholarships and financial aid for its students for their personal and educational development and growth. Though, it is a baby step taken by the university but it will give positive results for the betterment of the society and country. This step can also be considered as strengthening the roots of our country’s future.
The scholarships are categorised into three parts and they are mentioned as follows:

Category 1
This scholarship is based on merit and academic abilities of the students to motivate and make them feel driven for pursuing academic excellence. This scholarship is for both UG and PG programmes. For UG courses, merit scholarships are offered on the basis of their grades in XII standard and for PG courses the merit courses are based on their percentage in graduation.

This scholarship is based on the schemes started by the government and the ones who come under this category will be able to apply for the specified scholarship. The schemes are as following:

To continue the above mentioned scholarships, the students have to maintain 75% of their attendance without any back/debarred paper, UFM, and any other indiscipline case.

Financial Assistantship is a scholarship for the pass out students/alumni who are willing to opt or choose for higher education at DBUU and to continue this scholarship, the students must maintain 75% attendance every year.
There is also a scholarship for the ward of a single mother whose annual income is less than 5 lakhs. A fee concession of extra 5% from the tuition fee for them will be granted by the university.
